ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
  • The B.Com (CA) department was started from the academic year 2014 - 2015 to enrich the knowledge regarding the accounts, computer science, finance and HR. This course is the multi platform to the private sectors as well as the Government sectors. This course learning contents under the curriculum of University of Madras. It is a specialised courses particularly the students studying Tally, C++, web technology etc. The faculty members of this department are fully qualified. The students also participating inter & intra- level of in all kind of competition and they received many awards.

  • The objectives of the Programme shall be providing sound academic base from which an advanced career in Computer Application can be developed. Conceptual grounding in computer usage as well as its practical business application will be provided.

    To provide quality education in the field of Commerce with Computer science and transform the students into competent Commerce professionals enabling attainment of social and economic growth of an individual as well as the nation.

    To develop basic skills in the subjects of Commerce, Computer science and related disciplines.

    To empower all the students to lead productive lives and become contributing members of the community by applying their acquired knowledge and skills.

    B.Com (CA) As per the University of Madras Rules and Regulations to admit the degree of B.Com (Computer application) +2 Pass in the group of Computer science, Commerce and Accounts.

INFRA STRUCTURE / LAB FACILITIES
  • The state of the art campus accommodates different academic blocks i.e. Science Block, MBA Block, Hotel & Catering Management Block and Commerce Block and also Central Library having around 50000 books, journals and magazines. The 24/7 internet connections are provided by 25 computers from Digital library. Both libraries are located within the science block. Everything is viewed under CCTV surveillance.

  • There are 5 computer laboratories with 50 computers in each lab accessible to students. It has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum.

  • Internet facility available for all computers

  • UPS facility Available for Backup

  • The course bridging the knowledge regarding commerce and computer science. Its helps them to become smart and best employable. Training in Computer Applications in the field of commerce is an extra mileage in placements. It has an innovative modern curriculum. After the completion of the course, Any one can join any of the following programmes namely: MBA, MCA, M.Com, M.Com, (CA), ACS, CA, and MIB, MSW.
