Step into the captivating world of the Department of English at Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science, a beacon of academic elegance since 1990. With a faculty ensemble of 14, including seasoned experts, our department has been a guiding light in the educational tableau of the College.
In its early years, the department generously offered the melodic notes of General English to our undergraduate Students, aligning with the norms of University of Madras. Each year, over 1500 students waltzed through this linguistic sonnet, and today, they stand as shining stars in prestigious positions across the globe, a living testament to the excellence we cultivate in our College.
The magnum opus of our department's prowess crescendoed in 2015 with the unveiling of the B.A. English course, casting its scholarly spell far and wide. This academic opulence beckons students from distant realms, drawn to the rich tapestry of linguistic and literary exploration that we meticulously weave.
