Role
- Overall in charge of efficient functioning of the laboratory.
- Ensure accuracy of reports issued from the laboratory.
- Train lab technicians as per required standards.
- Ensure quality control is run for all tests carried out in the lab.
- Take corrective action if any deviation is found during calibration or QC.
- Coordinate with consultants to clarify doubts raised on test reports.
- Coordinate with patients and attendants regarding test queries, TAT, and START.
- Conduct technical assessment for lab candidates as part of selection criteria.
- Interpret test results with clinical diagnosis.
- Indent various test kits and maintain inventory registers.
- Sign external quality control requests and maintain QC accounting.
- Perform special investigations and ensure safe custody of equipment and specimens.
- Ensure safety norms, occupational hazard compliance, and fire safety in the lab.
- Prepare introduction of new tests, annual budgets, internal audits, MRM, and QSM/QSP documents.
